Whether you’re working in an in-house marketing team or in an agency, chances are there are several people you need to get approval from to get your visuals published.
Approvals are binary, it’s either approved or rejected. While this works if there’s one person who approves work. This system falls apart when there are at least two people who need to give their thumbs up.
In an agency, you’ll go through an internal approval process which will then pass to the client. In-house marketing teams – depending on their size – go through a similar process, a graphic designer will prepare visuals that will pass to a Marketing Manager who will then need to get approval from their Director.
All of this is done through several different mediums such as a project management system, spreadsheets, phone, PDFs, screenshots or emails.
So how do you improve and manage this kind of approval workflow?
Say hello to Multi-Stakeholder Approvals
With Multi-stakeholder Approvals now available on Picter, you’re now able to get assets approved faster ensuring that deadlines are met. Here are a few ways Multi-stakeholder Approvals can help your team.
Instant visual alignment
The approval process can often be tedious, yet crucial element of moving projects forward. The problem is that it’s never been visual and has always relied on either written or vocal confirmation.
Nevertheless, with Multi-stakeholder approval on Picter, we’ve turned this workflow into a visual one to ensure all stakeholders are instantly aligned and on the same page.
Your assets are visual and the approval process should reflect that.
Auto-filters
In addition to delivering instant visual alignment to all collaborators, we’ve also added the Auto-filters into the mix. This will help your team and clients evaluate visuals in no time.
So instead, of scrolling through hundreds of visuals and clicking through collections to get an overview of assets that are Undecided – all you need to do now is just a couple of clicks away.
To filter through your visuals based on approval status, simply click on Filters in the sidebar to display your filtering options and then select your filters.
But Auto-filters wouldn’t be complete with Multi-stakeholder Approval unless you could filter based on the person who has already approved visuals. The way this works is simple, once a team member has approved something, a filter will automatically become available with “Approved by Bob”.
This means that when Bob (i.e. Acme’s Marketing Manager), approves a set of visuals – Jenny (i.e. Acme’s Head of Marketing) can then use the “Approved by Bob” filter to give her green light on the assets after they’ve passed the first round of approval.
Batch approvals to approve several images at once
Let’s say you want to go through your Undecided assets, you’ll use the dedicated filter to display those visuals. Now you have an overview of all the visuals that need approval.
What’s next is that you can individually approve them. Or save additional time through batching approvals.
To batch approve, simply click the checkmark in the top left corner of the image cards to select the ones you want to approve. Once you’ve finalized your selection, head over to the topbar and click the checkmark in the top right corner on your screen.
Voila, you’ve just batch-approved your visuals!
Eliminate endless communication threads
With all of the above now available on Picter, you can say goodbye to endless email and chat threads.
No more rummaging through Slack or email to find out which version of which visual was approved or using insane file names to get approvals.
This means you’re able to keep all feedback (comments and annotations) and approval in the place where it belongs to, on the visuals themselves.
Conclusion
Getting approvals doesn’t have to be a time suck. With Multi-stakeholder Approval you substantially cut your approval times so you can deliver projects on time.
To get started, head over to Picter and sign up to try it for free – the good news is that it’s included in all plans.
