Are you tired of sharing screens? Do you want to have real-time conversations about your visual assets without slowing down your video call resolution?
We’re excited to introduce Observation Mode, a new feature of Picter that allows you to discuss all your visual assets in real-time with your collaborators.
As we value creativity, we also know how important it is to get feedback without wasting time on endless calls or loops of back and forth to adjust visuals.
Think about how you edit documents or spreadsheets using Google Drive. The platform allows you to review and track changes in real-time, right? How about experimenting with the same system with your visuals?
With Observation Mode, you can now present your work to clients and get instant feedback. While you present, other people, distributed across several countries and times zones, can give you live annotations, comments, and approvals. You will also be able to track changes from your collaborators, see who is online, shadow their movements, and gain easier feedback to your projects.
How to activate Observation Mode
Observation Mode can be activated at any time, by selecting the avatar of your collaborators, allowing you to choose one-to-one reviews or group people in the process.
Observing another person means that you will see his/her movements and share the same vision – in real-time. When you point to an image, the observing person can see you’re pointing to that image, when you scroll through projects, your collaborator observing you will scroll through projects with you, when you view collections or flick through images, your teammate will also see the collections and flick through the same images. Whenever you change the user interface, your colleagues will be able to ghost you through the entire process.
Using Observation Mode in practice

Avoid remote communication pitfalls
With most of the world on lockdown, remote work has become the new normal which has led to a higher reliance on video conferencing tools such as Google Meet, Slack and Zoom. Consequently, audio and visual issues have also become problematic for screen sharing and presenting work.
This is where Picter’s Observation Mode comes in handy to help you avoid spotty connection issues. Here’s a foolproof way of collaborating remotely:
- Call your clients, teammates or collaborators via audio
- Sign in to your Picter account
- Observe their screen using Picter’s Observation Mode or;
- Be observed while presenting or giving feedback
You will love the native resolution for your visuals!
Team and client critiques
Let’s imagine Stan from New Jersey is pointing at his screen to a specific part of a visual. While Gunhild over in Copenhagen struggles to understand what Stan is gesturing at because the screen share froze. Using Observation Mode, Gunhild is able to follow Stan’s screen and follow what he’s talking about as he smoothly walks through and critiques all the visuals in real-time.

Host client presentations in Observation Mode
Do you really want to risk your video connection pixelating the client presentation you’re delivering?
With Observation Mode, you can deliver presentations and present your work without your video quality deteriorating. Your clients can also follow your presentation every step of the way regardless of timezone.
Conclusion
Collaboration can be difficult. Feedbacks can take a lot of time. Being on the same page with your collaborators requires energy. We at Picter know it all and that’s why we improve by bringing you the best tool for visual collaboration.
