After a 15 year career working on some of the biggest brands (Nike, Gatorade) at some of the biggest agencies (Wieden+Kennedy, TBWA \ Chiat \ Day) Jayanta Jenkins started a new chapter in-house for tech companies (Apple Beats by Dre, Twitter) as a global executive creative director. Now he’s one of the co-founders of Saturday Morning, a creative shop dedicated to raising awareness about bias and racial injustice. Recently named an AdWeek 2020 Agency Leader to Watch, Jayanta keeps a fresh perspective on culture, music, and communication.
On this episode of Creative Risk we look at the arc of a creative career. Jayanta’s work has a consistent point of view that reflects the Black experience. His ongoing work with Saturday Morning is as relevant as ever. The lessons he’s learned as a creative executive are words of wisdom for anybody aspiring to not just greatness in their professional life, but in their personal journey as human beings as well.
